Swing inefficiencies in above player's swing:
1) Player casts or drags bat through zone (loss of batspeed). Shown by the back elbow leading bat knob through zone (2 red dots), and the space between the shaft of the bat and back shoulder.
2) Player's stride length at toe touch was too short forcing a non-athletic base to swing from.
Teaching Understanding
When you analyze a swing of a major league hitter you see the areas in which the hitters are very similar (contact point, shaft-to-shoulder position, launch position, etc.)
Types of lessons offered (2):
1) Individual Private Lesson ($35/30 min. of instruction)
Individual Lessons will be conducted at Southwood Athletic Complex, 1600 Rock Prairie Rd., College Station, 77845. (Batting cage nearest College Station Middle School)

2) College Station 12 Hitting Class ($5/60 min. of instruction)
(Participants in the 12 hitting class must be a member of the 12 organization.)
College Station 12 hitting classes will be conducted at Coach Hodge's hitting facility, 5188 Straub Rd., College Station, 77845.
The hitting class will be age specific:
Monday ONLY 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm (Age 8 - 12)
Monday ONLY 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm (Age 13+)
Appointment times are Monday mornings. These times only represent the 8 openings in the class. Disregard appointment times, and arrive at the facility at 6:25 for players 8-12, and 7:25 for players 13+. If no appointment times remain, the class is full for the week.
